Miscellaneous tips:

If you are in a bar with a pool table, try to win the table
and ask her if she'd like to play partners with you.

Have business cards with you, give her your card to call you
at work instead of at home. In a posh or trendy bar this is
imperative, but even in a casual place, she will be more comfortable
calling you at work, and it will also tell her that you have
a job.

Never plunk yourself down at a table when two or more girls
are having a conversation and just barge in, it is rude and
they will be annoyed.

If you're really drunk, forget about it. You will look like
an idiot if you try to pick someone up.

If there is a flower vendor is selling roses in the establishment
at the time, buy one for her and have it sent over.

If she is sitting at the bar, it is easy to talk to her. The
only reason people sit at the bar instead of a table is because
they feel like talking to someone or are interested in meeting

If you are a regular at the bar, ask bar staff if they know
if the girl in question is single or not.

opinions about men in high esteem, if you approach her this
way it shows that you respect her enough to make sure that she's
single and it also shows that you are interested enough in her
to make enquires about her. It also saves you the possibility
of rejection if she has a boyfriend.

If she does have a boyfriend, don't persist and say anything
like "That's ok, I'm not the jealous type." This makes
you seem like a weirdo.

If you have approached a girl and been rejected, don't ask
her friend if she's interested.

If conversation is going well and the bar is closing soon,
ask her to join you for coffee or a bite to eat at a nearby
restaurant instead of inviting you over to your place, your
chances of her accepting are greater. It is unfortunate, but
the reality is that the world isn't a very safe place these
days, and most women are very cautious about going somewhere
with a stranger.

The most important tip of all - if you're interested, talk
to her! A lot of women would accept a date with you if only
they knew you were interested. Many men loose opportunity only
as a result of shyness. Women aren't always as scary as they
seem!
